Production Administrator – Manufacturing | ERP | Production Support | Stock Control
Are you highly organised, confident with Excel and Word, and looking for a role where you can become a key part of a busy manufacturing operation?
We're recruiting a Production Administrator for a well-established Leicester-based manufacturer. This is a hands-on production support role that sits at the centre of the workshop, coordinating information, materials and documentation between Production, Stores, Procurement and Management.
Whether you already have experience in manufacturing administration, production planning or procurement support, or you're looking to build a career in the sector, full training will be provided for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, print and distribute production packs including engineering drawings, material lists and cutting schedules
- Maintain material traceability records, ensuring all materials are linked to the correct purchase orders for audit compliance
- Raise purchase orders using ERP and procurement systems
- Support supplier onboarding and monitor live orders
- Manage goods-in processes, checking deliveries, labelling materials and allocating stock to jobs
- Assist with production scheduling and monitor job progress
- Identify and communicate material shortages or production delays
- Prepare products for external finishing, including labelling, tagging and palletising
- Maintain accurate production records, documentation and filing systems
- Support continuous workflow between workshop, stores and office functions
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
- Accurate administration and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Organised and methodical approach to work
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or workshop environment
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Desirable (training provided):
- Manufacturing, production, engineering or workshop experience
- ERP, MRP or procurement systems experience
- Stock control or goods-in experience
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge
